« Much ado about nothing » : CFTC files to dismiss CME’s lawsuit over crypto perpetual futures

The CFTC has filed a motion to dismiss the CME’s lawsuit over crypto perpetual futures. The US regulator argues that the CME lacks standing to bring competitive-injury claims. The CFTC points out that the exchange is free to list perpetual futures as a DCM (Designated Contract Market). The regulator has described the lawsuit as « much ado about nothing ».
