In the second quarter of 2026, hedge funds managed by Stanley Druckenmiller (Duquesne Family Office) and David Tepper (Appaloosa Management) sold their SanDisk positions to increase their investments in TSMC. Appaloosa fully exited its SanDisk stake, worth approximately $179 million at the end of Q1, while raising its TSMC exposure by 24% to around $788 million. SanDisk shares peaked at $2,354.39 on June 22 before falling 31% by mid-August. TSMC reported $40.2 billion in revenue for Q2 2026 and raised its 2026 capex guidance to a range of $60 to $64 billion, driven by demand from AI hyperscalers (Amazon, Google, Microsoft, Meta).
