Chelsea has opened preliminary negotiations with representatives of Honest Anahor, an 18-year-old defender currently at Atalanta who has become one of Europe’s most sought-after young talents. Atalanta has already rejected two bids this summer, including a reported 34 million euro offer from Brighton. Anahor joined Atalanta from Genoa on July 4, 2025 for a base fee of 16 million euros plus 4 million euros in potential add-ons, with his current market value estimated between 23 and 30 million euros. Arsenal and Manchester City are also monitoring the situation. A successful deal would likely require a bid exceeding 40 million euros, as talks remain at an early stage.
