EIP-8390 is an Ethereum proposal that would remove the 512-validator sync committee, its rewards, and the Altair light-client interfaces. It would replace the sync committee with off-chain zero-knowledge proofs of finality, but lacks a migration plan, replacement API, and prover incentives.
