Whales, burns help Uniswap break $4 – But bears fight back at $4.60

Uniswap surged more than 10%, ranking second only to Aave Protocol among top-capped DeFi protocols, with a daily trading volume of approximately $521 million, up more than 20%. An anonymous institutional wallet withdrew more than 222,000 UNI tokens worth over $960,000 after eight months of inactivity, bringing total holdings to 4.837 million tokens valued at $22 million. The protocol recorded its biggest daily burn in USD, totaling approximately $590,000 on August 21st, with $267,000 from Ethereum, $165,000 from Base and $87,000 from Robinhood Chain. Despite this bullish momentum, the $4-$4.60 resistance zone saw bears supply $2.17 million against $1.26 million from bulls, risking a correction.
