Ray Dalio, founder of Bridgewater Associates, warns of a US debt crisis that could materialize within the next five years. He recommends allocating 10 % to 15 % of a portfolio to gold and maintaining a modest position in Bitcoin as protection. US federal debt stands at approximately $32 trillion, with a 40 % gap between federal revenues of around $5.5 trillion and spending near $7.5 trillion. Annual debt service reaches nearly $11 trillion, including principal and interest. This position marks a shift from Dalio’s past statements, as he now appears more favorable toward measured exposure to BTC. Bitcoin is currently trading around $77,221, up more than 22 % over seven days.
