Grayscale’s Zcash Trust will begin trading on NYSE Arca around August 25 under the ticker ZCSH, marking its transition from OTCQX markets to a major exchange with a spot ETF structure. The fund currently holds approximately 391,000 to 393,000 ZEC, representing over $260 million in assets under management, with Coinbase Custody as custodian and Jane Street Capital and Virtu Americas serving as authorized participants. ZEC’s price has surged above $800, with peaks approaching $850 in mid-to-late August, representing a 38% to 48% increase within a compressed timeframe. DCG, Grayscale’s parent company, is reportedly in discussions to contribute roughly 200,000 ZEC to the trust, valued between $110 million and $163 million depending on market price. The annual sponsor fee is set at 2.5%.
