Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca confirmed on August 21 that Brazilian winger Savinho made his desire to leave Manchester City clear from day one of his tenure, while Egyptian forward Omar Marmoush has made no such request. Both players are in advanced negotiations with Tottenham, which has already spent over £229 million in transfer fees this summer. City have agreed a deal for Savinho worth approximately £75 million plus £5 million guaranteed and up to £5 million more in add-ons, representing a profit of over £45 million on a player bought for £30 million in 2024. Negotiations for Marmoush, signed from Eintracht Frankfurt for around £59 million in January 2025, are ongoing, with a combined fee for both players expected between £140 million and £160 million. These departures would significantly reduce City’s attacking depth, especially after Rodri already left for Barcelona.
