Nvidia has agreed to pay $6 billion to license artificial intelligence models from Poolside AI, a software development-focused startup, while also investing $1 billion in equity, valuing the company at $12 billion pre-money. This non-exclusive deal allows Poolside to continue selling its technology to other buyers. As part of the agreement, 109 former Poolside employees received job offers from Nvidia, signaling the chip giant’s interest in acquiring the talent behind these models. Existing Poolside investors will receive $76.20 per share by the end of 2027, following a fourfold valuation increase from the $3 billion the company reached last year.
