Adit Singh, formerly a partner at Cota Capital, has joined Mayfield as an infrastructure partner. He will focus on investments in semiconductors, cybersecurity, and physical AI. Mayfield, a venture firm founded in 1969, has deployed approximately $3 billion into AI companies over its lifetime, with 70% at inception stage. The firm also manages a dedicated $250 million AI Start fund targeting AI startups. Its portfolio already includes Alif Semiconductor, Cognichip, and Aurascape AI, a generative AI cybersecurity startup that closed a $12.8 million seed round in September 2024.
