OFAC, the US Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control, has sanctioned the Shelbit Exchange network, its founder Siavash Kayvanpour, and affiliated companies including Shelbit General Trading LLC and Crypto Home DMCC. These entities allegedly processed between $1 million and $2 million in digital assets destined for wallets linked to Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. The network is also accused of laundering tens of millions of dollars from an online gambling operation, with structures incorporated in Dubai free trade zones. The Treasury has also launched a $15 million bounty program for information on IRGC financial systems.
