Finnish smart ring maker Oura has appointed its first-ever Chief Information Officer and a new Senior Vice President of AI, bolstering its tech leadership ahead of a planned IPO. The company confidentially filed its draft IPO registration with the SEC around May 21, 2026, after raising approximately $900 million in a Series E funding round in late 2025, pushing its private valuation to $11 billion. Founded in Oulu, Finland in 2013, Oura has now exceeded $1.5 billion in total fundraising and shipped over 5 million rings. In February 2026, the company launched a proprietary large language model tailored for women’s health and acquired Galen AI, strengthening its position in health technology ahead of a public listing expected toward the end of 2026.
