Apple announced on July 28 a new partnership with Klarna to launch the Apple Upgrade program, allowing consumers to lease an iPhone starting at $17.99 per month for 12 or 24 months, an Apple Watch starting at $11.99 per month, a Mac starting at $24.99 per month for 24 or 36 months, and an iPad starting at $11.99 per month. This program replaces the former iPhone Upgrade Program and includes a soft credit check that does not impact credit scores. Apple had already announced price hikes on certain products, including MacBooks and iPads, in June. Other financing options include Apple Card Monthly Installments at 0% APR, carrier financing over 24 or 36 months, and 0% intro APR credit cards offering up to 21 months of interest-free payments.
