Rushed CLARITY Act vote could set legislation back, Gallego warns

Democratic Senator Ruben Gallego warned that rushing the CLARITY Act to a Senate vote could set back US crypto market structure legislation. He said the White House has not provided point-by-point feedback on a bipartisan ethics proposal submitted before the congressional recess, with a vote scheduled for September. Negotiations still need to address the bill’s Agriculture Committee portion and assemble the broader package. A hasty vote would risk failing to reach the 60-vote threshold required in the Senate, he warned.
