Cerebras stock has underperformed since its IPO. During the Supernova event on Tuesday, the company unveiled the CS-4, an AI accelerator built from its proprietary wafer-scale engine technology. This chip features three wafer-scale engines and claims to be up to 30 times faster than traditional GPUs for inference, the process by which AI models generate real-time responses. Cerebras is betting that its specialized chips will outpace traditional graphics processing units as AI agents become more widespread.
