Share

Wyoming is migrating the Frontier Stable Token (FRNT), the first US state-issued stablecoin, from LayerZero’s cross-chain infrastructure to Chainlink’s CCIP interoperability protocol. The migration follows a security review, though no official announcement has been made as of August 18, 2026. FRNT launched on January 7, 2026, and is backed by 102% in USD and short-duration US Treasuries. Reserve management is handled by Franklin Advisers, infrastructure by Fireblocks, and monthly attestations are conducted by The Network Firm. The token is available on Kraken and works with Visa cards issued by Rain.
