Metaplanet, the Japanese Bitcoin treasury company, is acquiring a majority stake in Super League Enterprise, a Nasdaq-listed gaming and media company, for approximately $134.6 million. The transaction will be funded with 2,100 BTC (approximately $132.1 million) plus $2.5 million in cash, with closing targeted for Q4 2026. Super League’s stock surged to around $6-7, nearly doubling from its previous close near $3.00, with Metaplanet set to own approximately 95.7% of the target company’s common stock. This acquisition creates a dual-listed Bitcoin treasury operation spanning both Tokyo and New York, giving Metaplanet direct access to US capital markets and institutional investors. The rebranded company, Superplanet, Inc., will trade under the ticker SUPA on Nasdaq.
