Cypherpunk Technologies launched the world’s largest Zcash mining operation on August 18, backed by a $33.33 million equity investment from Winklevoss Capital. The facility delivers 4.2 GSol/s of Equihash hashrate, representing approximately 18% of Zcash’s total network hashrate. The Nasdaq-listed company (CYPH) already held 323,394.38 ZEC, accounting for roughly 1.92% of the cryptocurrency’s circulating supply. Targeting 5% of circulating supply, Cypherpunk could capture approximately 7,800 ZEC per month from block rewards, worth over $525,000 at current prices.
