Compound, a historic decentralized finance protocol, announced a complete restructuring of its leadership team with the appointment of Aaron Schnarch as executive director, joined by Christopher Donovan as COO, Steven Liu as CPO, and Leo Eikelman as CTO. The Compound Foundation secured DAO approval to unlock a 52 million dollar envelope, presented as the largest development program in its history, to fund an ambitious roadmap including native RWA support, enhanced capital efficiency, and institutional integration tools. Since its launch in 2018, Compound has processed approximately 480 billion dollars in cumulative deposit and borrowing volume with no bad debt, although its current TVL of 1.2 billion dollars falls far below its September 2021 peak of 12 billion dollars. The COMP token rose more than 7 % to around 17.50 dollars following the announcement.
