The Platåberget public testnet is now live for testing Ethereum’s upcoming Glamsterdam upgrade. This short-term testnet, announced by the Ethereum Foundation on August 17, allows the community to experiment with changes before deployment on longer-lived testnets Sepolia and Hoodi. The Glamsterdam fork on this testnet is scheduled for August 20. Key areas being tested include ePBS (Enshrined Proposer-Builder Separation), gas repricings targeting approximately 200 million gas floor, and Block-Level Access Lists. The upgrade will also increase the maximum deployed contract size from 24 KiB to 64 KiB and initcode size from 48 KiB to 128 KiB.
