World Liberty Financial, the crypto company 38% owned by the Trump family, has partnered with WorldClaw, a Hong Kong-based platform offering AI models developed by Chinese companies under US scrutiny. Out of 90 models available on WorldClaw, 43 come from Chinese firms including Alibaba and Baidu, both designated by the Pentagon as linked to the Chinese military, and Z.ai, which faces US Commerce Department export restrictions. Payments on the platform are made using USD1, a stablecoin issued by World Liberty, generating indirect revenue for the Trump family with each transaction. Seven experts interviewed by Reuters described this collaboration as a stark departure from the official stance of the Trump administration, which has repeatedly condemned the rise of Chinese AI capabilities.
