General Atlantic, a private investment firm managing $130 billion in assets, is restarting its IPO process after shelving plans for nearly three years due to market volatility. The company had confidentially filed for an IPO in December 2023 before postponing the deal. It is returning to the market as US IPO activity has strengthened and investor appetite for new offerings has improved. JPMorgan Chase will lead the offering alongside Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs. Founded in 1980, General Atlantic has invested over $121 billion since its inception and has backed major companies such as Alibaba, Facebook, Airbnb and Uber.
