China’s semiconductor industry is expected to generate approximately $245 billion in revenue in 2025, a 22% increase year-over-year, cementing the country’s position as the largest national consumer market for chips worldwide. SMIC, China’s largest chip foundry, posted record revenue of $9.3 billion, up 16%, while CXMT, the memory chip leader, more than doubled its revenue to over $8 billion with 130% growth. The National Integrated Circuit Industry Investment Fund raised $47.5 billion in 2024, bringing cumulative investment to nearly $200 billion since 2014, with the goal of capturing 10% of the global semiconductor market by 2030.
