Binance is preparing its return to the UK market, five years after being forced out by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). The platform has filed an authorization request ahead of the new UK crypto regime that will take effect on October 25, 2027. This ambition comes as the exchange faces accusations of allowing approximately $8 billion in Iran-linked transactions to pass through its platforms since 2018, with nearly $1.7 billion traced to Iranian entities. Binance has also suspended its services in several European Union countries since July 1, 2026, after withdrawing its MiCA license application in Greece, placing it under simultaneous regulatory pressure on multiple fronts.
