Bitcoin hits $64K as gold gains while oil shakes off Trump Oman threat

Gold also gained over 1%, hitting a daily high of $4,427 per ounce, fueled by nearly $12 billion in inflows to gold-backed ETFs through Aug. 13. Oil remained steady at $82.35 per barrel for WTI crude despite US President Donald Trump’s threats to bomb Oman over the Strait of Hormuz. Bitcoin funding rates hit 20-month highs of 0.022 on Aug. 14, signaling an increasingly crowded long position among traders.
