Strategy, formerly MicroStrategy, did not buy Bitcoin this week but sold 3,458,866 MSTR shares for $333.7 million to build up its cash reserves. Of that amount, $52.4 million was used to pay dividends on STRC preferred stock, $132.2 million on stock buybacks, and $149.1 million was added to the dollar reserve. MSTR stock has dropped over 60% year-to-date in 2026 and trades around $95, nearly 80% below its 2024 record. Strategy remains the largest corporate Bitcoin holder with 840,447 coins worth $53.4 billion, acquired at an average price of $63,357. CEO Phong Le has affirmed the company remains a long-term Bitcoin buyer despite recent sales.
