Cap launches cross-chain deposits and mints with LayerZero’s OVault standard

Cap, the stablecoin protocol behind cUSD and stcUSD, has integrated LayerZero’s OVault standard to enable cross-chain deposits and minting across four blockchain networks: Ethereum, Tempo, MegaETH, and Katana. Users can now interact with a single central hub vault from any of these chains, eliminating the need to deploy separate vaults on each network. The unified process allows minting cUSD and stcUSD without manual bridging, with cUSD minted 1:1 against blue-chip dollar assets. The platform has reached over $400 million in total value locked and more than $350 million in circulating supply for cUSD. LayerZero’s OVault standard reportedly secured approximately $9 billion in assets on its first day of launch in September 2025.
