Bits of Gold: Up to 200,000 Customers Potentially Exposed in Israel Data Breach

Israeli crypto broker Bits of Gold reported on August 16 a cybersecurity incident stemming from unauthorized access at a third-party provider, potentially exposing personal data of up to 200,000 clients. Compromised information includes names, identity numbers, emails, phone numbers, IP addresses, banking details, and public wallet addresses, while funds, cryptocurrencies, passwords, and identity documents remain unaffected. The company, holding license 56716, immediately blocked access, disconnected the compromised system, and notified authorities. The primary risk for affected clients is not fund theft but phishing, with the company warning against identity theft attempts.
