Major asset managers are betting on massive returns from Big Tech AI investments. Annual AI-related capital spending by major tech companies is projected to reach between $635 and $665 billion by 2026, accounting for more than half of the $1 trillion in global AI investments expected. According to asset managers, hyperscalers (Amazon, Microsoft, Alphabet, and Meta) could collectively generate approximately $340 billion in additional annual operating cash flow by 2027. To justify current spending levels, AI monetization needs to increase 5x to 13x.
