Giggle Academy, his non-profit education initiative, will receive all royalties from his memoir scheduled for 2026. Zhao stepped down as Binance CEO in late 2023 as part of a settlement with US authorities, having pleaded guilty to money laundering violations and serving a four-month prison sentence.
