ARP Digital, a Bahrain-based digital asset platform backed by the Kanoo family (Kanoo Group, founded 135 years ago), received in-principle approval from Dubai’s Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority on April 28. This approval will allow the firm to operate as a broker-dealer and offer regulated conversions of digital assets and stablecoins into UAE dirhams. The company, which already holds a Category 3 license from the Central Bank of Bahrain since 2024, has processed over 3.5 billion dollars in transaction volume across more than 450 institutional and corporate clients, and expects fourfold year-on-year volume growth in 2025.
