San Francisco startup Higgsfield AI produced a 110-minute action-comedy film titled The Cully Hill Boys for approximately $2 million in four weeks, compared to the typical one to two years and over $20 million required for an indie film. Directed by Aitare Zholdaskali and Adilet Abish with a screenplay by Tim Planagan, the film was entirely AI-generated using ByteDance’s Seedance 2.5 model, featuring licensed digital likenesses of celebrities including MMA fighters Israel Adesanya and Quinton « Rampage » Jackson. Roughly half of the $2 million budget went to compute costs, with the remainder covering licensing, creative direction, and post-production. Higgsfield open-sourced its entire production process, sharing prompts, production logs, and workflow documentation with the community.
