The bank’s strategists cite stronger-than-expected corporate earnings and AI-driven revenue growth as the main catalysts for this upward revision. At least seven other brokerages have now adopted the same 8,000 target for the end of 2026, putting JPMorgan in increasingly crowded company. The bank also factors in the possibility of additional Federal Reserve rate cuts in its outlook, which could further enhance equities’ appeal relative to bonds.
