Cardano’s Project Catalyst has launched a new funding cycle called the Catalyst Pilot with a total pool of 2.5 million ADA for 10 to 15 selected teams. Individual grants range from 50,000 to 200,000 ADA per project, disbursed in three tranches tied to usage and adoption milestones. Top-performing projects can earn performance bonuses worth up to 50% of their original grant, bringing the maximum payout to 300,000 ADA. The pilot specifically targets four technical areas: oracles, stablecoins (USDM and USDCx), programmable tokens through CIP-0113, and on-chain identity via CIP-0170. This round is overseen by the Cardano Foundation and requires mainnet deployment within three months, marking a shift toward product-focused, usage-driven grants.
