The Cardano Foundation announced the departure of its Chief Technology Officer, Giorgio Zinetti, effective August 31. After roughly two and a half years leading the Foundation’s technical operations, Zinetti is leaving for personal reasons, including upcoming parental leave. The Foundation, which oversees one of the largest proof-of-stake ecosystems in crypto, has not yet named a successor nor disclosed interim plans to manage the transition. His departure removes one of the organization’s most visible technical leaders during a period of ongoing governance enhancements and roadmap development.
