Cypher, a crypto card and self-custody wallet provider, is shutting down following its acquisition by payments company Nium. Card purchases will stop at 00:00 UTC on August 8, making August 7 the final spending day for users. Cardholders have until September 6 to withdraw balances, claim CYPR rewards and preserve wallet access before Cypher’s app, dApp and business platform go offline. Osmosis Pay cardholders face the same wind-down dates with no published regional exceptions. The company says customer funds remain safe and available for fee-free withdrawal via USDC settlement on Base, with withdrawals potentially taking 24 to 48 hours.
