Futures rose after U.S. payrolls unexpectedly fell 23,000 in July, missing the projected 83,000 increase, while the unemployment rate edged down to 4.1%. Meta was ordered to pay $567 million in New Mexico as part of a public nuisance case, on top of the $375 million in penalties imposed earlier this year. Several tech companies reported strong results: Atlassian surged over 30%, Cloudflare jumped 15% premarket, and Airbnb rose more than 7%. On the downside, Sweetgreen dropped 13% after cutting its full-year outlook due to a cyclospora outbreak, and Stellantis was downgraded by Bernstein with the stock down 40% over the past year.
