Ripple’s Alderoty Says Crypto Is No Longer Just for ‘Crypto Boys’

Stuart Alderoty, Chief Legal Officer at Ripple, responded to a Wall Street Journal editorial that referred to cryptocurrency supporters as « crypto boys. » According to him, approximately 67 million Americans hold digital assets, with about one-third being women, and there are more holders over 55 than under 25. The editorial criticized the proposed CLARITY Act, arguing it could create loopholes allowing exchanges to offer stablecoin-related rewards resembling interest payments. A poll shows that 84% of Democratic primary voters view candidates backed by the crypto industry unfavorably, with crypto being viewed more negatively than oil companies, Wall Street banks, or data centers.
