The Defend American Jobs and Protect Progress PACs, affiliated with Fairshake, spent over $1.5 million on media ads to support candidates in primary elections scheduled for August 18 in Wyoming, Alaska and Florida. The expenditures include over $500,000 for Representative Nick Begich in Alaska, a similar amount for Harriet Hageman running for the Wyoming Senate seat, and roughly $50,000 for Lois Frankel’s re-election in Florida. These spending efforts follow a primary loss in Michigan, where incumbent Shri Thanedar was defeated despite Protect Progress investing over $2 million in media support. The candidates backed by these PACs generally voted for crypto-friendly legislation, including the CLARITY Act and the GENIUS Act. Fairshake and its affiliated groups spent over $170 million during the 2024 US election cycle.
