On-chain investigator ZachXBT alleges that BitcoinIRA and iTrustCapital suffered data breaches this year without disclosing the incidents to their customers. Threat actors reportedly accessed customers’ personal details, including portfolio holdings, banking information, custodian details, and verification status. ZachXBT emailed both platforms on August 21 and went public after three days without a response. iTrustCapital denied any breach, while BitcoinIRA had not responded by publication time. These two crypto retirement services collectively claim billions of dollars in assets and hundreds of thousands of accounts.
