DuckDuckGo launched a pair of sunglasses called Normal F***ing Sunglasses, featuring no camera, microphone, battery or any electronics. They sold out in under a week at 35 dollars, in partnership with California eyewear brand Knockaround, with a second production run now available for pre-order. The product reflects growing backlash against Meta’s smart glasses, which have faced privacy concerns. A BBC investigation found women were covertly filmed, and Meta is now subject to a class action lawsuit and an investigation by the Texas Attorney General.
