We’re downgrading Honeywell Aerospace after a shockingly bad earnings debut

Honeywell Aerospace shares tumbled 11% on Wednesday evening after the company reported weak quarterly results and cut its full-year outlook due to supply chain issues. Second-quarter revenue rose 5.4% year over year to $4.52 billion, missing the consensus estimate of $4.6 billion. Adjusted earnings per share fell 32% to $1.87, below the estimate of $2.11. The stock dropped to $182, a new low as a standalone company following its separation from Honeywell Technologies in late June. Management slashed its full-year organic sales growth guidance to 4%-5% from the prior 7%-9% range.
