Apollo Global Management has appointed Katia Walsh as Managing Director, Head of artificial intelligence. Previously Chief Digital Officer at Harvard Business School, she also served as Chief Global Strategy and AI Officer at Levi Strauss and Co. and developed AI programs at Vodafone Group. President Jim Zelter stated in May 2026 that AI capital expenditure funding would remain robust through at least 2028. This appointment is part of Apollo’s strategy to finance AI infrastructure at scale, positioning the firm not only as an equity investor but also as a debt provider.
