Jay Clayton, former SEC Chairman and architect of the Ripple lawsuit, has been appointed US Director of National Intelligence. He succeeds Bill Pulte, who had been serving as acting DNI. Clayton led the SEC’s case against Ripple on unregistered securities allegations. Bill Pulte is now returning full time to crafting crypto-friendly housing policies.
