Bitcoin rebounded in July after a particularly difficult June, during which it fell by 20.48%, the sharpest decline in four years. The price peaked at $67,000 on July 21, its highest level in two months, before ending the month under $64,000 despite a 9% monthly increase. Historically, August has not been kind to bitcoin, with four consecutive red Augusts recording losses of 13.88%, 11.29%, 8.6%, and 6.49%. Only three of the last twelve Augusts have been positive, and bitcoin enters August 2026 with significant uncertainty both on a macroeconomic level and within the cryptocurrency sector.
