Suriname is experiencing a significant upswing in its oil industry as geopolitical tensions in the Middle East drive up global oil prices. The nation currently produces 13,000 to 17,000 barrels per day from onshore fields. The GranMorgu project in Block 58, a deepwater endeavor led by TotalEnergies and APA, is projected to generate $26 billion in revenue over its lifespan. With Brent crude prices currently above $95 to $100 per barrel, market participants appear supportive of future growth scenarios for Suriname’s oil sector.
