A scam involving a fake Ripple announcement has been flagged on social media. XRP Ledger Foundation director of community Hussein Zangana issued a warning confirming that a fake X post claimed Ripple was launching XRP Holder Tiers and directed users to a fraudulent website to claim XRP badges. This is a phishing scam as Ripple never posted this announcement and users must never click such links or enter their seed phrases. This week, Seoul police arrested three people for a fraudulent XRP staking platform impersonating Flare Network and FXRP, stealing approximately 3.4 million XRP from 71 victims, with about 27.3 billion won, equivalent to $19 million, reaching the operators’ wallets.
