Zcash’s Ironwood upgrade boosts token, but is it enough for ZEC to break its bearish trend?

Zcash’s Ironwood upgrade was activated on July 28, fixing a counterfeiting vulnerability by replacing the older Orchard shielded pool with a more secure version. Approximately 176,000 ZEC worth about $80 million were moved to the new system within the first 24 hours, indicating strong early adoption. ZEC gained 3.2% in the past 24 hours, trading at $475.95, outperforming a largely flat Bitcoin. However, the broader bearish structure remains intact: the MACD remains below the zero line, the RSI stays below the neutral 50 level, and the OBV continues to decline, suggesting selling pressure still dominates and the token has yet to establish a convincing higher high.
