Visa outlines stablecoin strategy during Q3 earnings call

Visa reported third-quarter fiscal revenue of $11.6 billion, up 14 percent year over year, driven by growth in payment volumes, cross-border volumes and processed transactions. The company detailed its multi-layer investment strategy in the stablecoin ecosystem, covering blockchain, issuance, wallets, infrastructure and applications. Visa joined the OpenStandard consortium that plans to issue the OpenUSD stablecoin for global money movement, and partnered with Pismo to support tokenized deposits for financial institutions. The group also highlighted artificial intelligence as a long-term growth driver, viewing stablecoins and AI as complementary technologies for the future of commerce.
