Freedom Factory unveiled the PQ1 on July 28, 2026, billing it as the world’s first hardware wallet built with post-quantum cryptographic capabilities. The device uses SPHINCS+, a hash-based digital signature scheme considered resistant to quantum attacks. The wallet also integrates ERC-4337 smart accounts, enabling features like social recovery and batched transactions. Priced at $179 with shipments expected in Q4 2026, the PQ1 is fully open source. A dedicated session with CEO Michael Haas will take place on July 29 on Ethereum Builders Live to break down the device’s security architecture.
